Saint Tropez Tours Map

Saint Tropez has no single starting point. Most charters and the catamarans board across the gulf at Marines de Cogolin, a few boats leave from the port, and the day trips start in Nice and Cannes. Find the spot printed on your Saint Tropez tickets here.

How to find your start

Your booking names a meeting point. Look it up below, harbour by harbour. Each entry comes from the tour's own listing, so the name on your booking should match one of them.

"Saint Tropez" on a booking often means the gulf, not the town. The bay boat's crew also warns that phone maps can send you to the wrong side of a port: follow the signs to the Capitainerie instead.

Go and see a harbour meeting point the day before if you can. Free cancellation covers you only up to 24 hours ahead, and a boat does not wait.

The Port de Saint-Tropez and the town

The town's own port is where the sunset boat and the land tours start. Everything here is a short walk from the quays.

The Capitainerie, Port de Saint-Tropez

On Allée du Quai de l'Épi. The sunset boat boards here; the collection dock is under the grey crane in front of the Capitainerie. The port runs a one-in, one-out system, so message the crew when you arrive.

By the Capitainerie. One Pershing half day can board here instead of Cogolin; the crew confirms which within 5 days.

Quai Suffren

On the port. The private tour's driver-guide meets you here, or where you are staying; cruise passengers are met where the tender lands.

The Hôtel de Paris, 1 Traverse de la Gendarmerie

A two-minute walk from the cruise tender pier. The shared van waits in front: look for a black Mercedes van, and come 10 minutes early.

If you are lost on the day, the tourist office is on the same quay, at 11 Quai de l'Épi. Check its hours before you go, as they change with the season.

Marines de Cogolin, at the head of the gulf

Marines de Cogolin is the marina beside Port Grimaud, round the head of the gulf from the town. It is where most boats berth, and where you will board unless your booking says otherwise.

The Capitainerie, Marines de Cogolin

The bay boat's home port. Meet outside the building 5 minutes before you sail, and do not go inside. Parking de la Plage is a 4-minute walk.

The Pershings' berth

Also at Marines de Cogolin. The exact berth comes by WhatsApp or email within 5 days of your charter.

The catamarans

The half-day sail and the regatta catamaran board at Port des Marines de Cogolin. Be there 20 minutes before.

Sainte-Maxime and Port Grimaud

Collection points for the charters, on request; the bay boat charges €50 to collect you outside Cogolin.

Les Bateaux Verts link the marina and the town in about 25 minutes. From Sainte-Maxime the crossing is about 15 minutes, and from Port Grimaud 20 to 25.

Cavalaire and Le Lavandou, west of the peninsula

The half-day catamaran also sails from Cavalaire-sur-Mer and from Le Lavandou. Both are beach towns on the open sea, west of the peninsula and outside the gulf.

You pick the harbour as an option when you book, and the catamaran comes back to the same one. The €18 lunch box is sold on Cogolin sailings only, so bring your own food from the other two.

Nice and Cannes: the day trips by sea

The scheduled boats start far along the coast. From Nice, the Trans Côte d'Azur desk is on Quai Lunel under a yellow awning; the boat leaves at 09:00 and lands at 11:30. From Cannes, you swap your voucher at the Trans Côte d'Azur office on Quai Saint-Pierre, and the crossing takes 1 hour 15 minutes.

Either way you land in the port at 11:30 and start back at 16:30. That gives you five hours ashore.

Pickups at your door

The road days come to you. The wine day collects you free within 10 km of the town, including Sainte-Maxime, Ramatuelle, Gassin, Grimaud, Cogolin and Cavalaire. The day to Bormes-les-Mimosas collects you in town or around the gulf; tell the guide ahead if you are farther out.

The road day from Nice collects you at your hotel or residence in Nice. It drives to Sainte-Maxime and crosses to the town by boat, one way.
