What that means in practice

The tours listed here are sold through GetYourGuide and Viator. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator. We do not run any of these tours, employ any of these guides, drivers or skippers, or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.

We have no connection with the Ville de Saint-Tropez or Saint-Tropez Tourisme, the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, Côte d'Azur France, or any tour, boat or transport company.

How tours get listed

Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. A badge on a card is a measured claim: Top rated only on a tour rated 4.9 or higher, Best seller only on the tour with the most reviews, Best value only on the lowest fare one person can book. A platform's own badge is not shown.

Today Best seller sits on the scheduled boat from Nice, which has the most reviews. Best value sits on the half-day catamaran, the lowest fare per person. Top rated sits on the private bay boat, rated 5.0 with every one of its reviews at five stars.

The featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different kinds of tour from three different starts: the whole boat from Marines de Cogolin, a place on a shared catamaran from one of three harbours, and a seat on the boat from Nice.

Prices, ratings and how current they are

Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were taken from their own listings on 26 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Every fare is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing is converted at an exchange rate.

Some fares are per person and some per group, and each price says which. Where a listing adds a surcharge on top, such as fuel on a private boat or tasting fees on the wine day, it is printed beside the price in the listing's own figures, in euros. Where the listing gives no figure, we say so rather than guess one.

Facts about the town itself, such as museum prices and hours, parking, the buses, the ferries and the regatta dates, come from the official pages of the town, its tourist office, the ferry companies and the regatta. Where a detail comes from a listing, such as a meeting point, a group size, an age limit or what the fare covers, it belongs to that tour.

What we deliberately do not publish

• A fuel figure a listing does not give. The Pershing charters list fuel as extra without an amount; we print that, not an estimate.
• A paid extra as included. The wine day lists alcoholic drinks among its inclusions, but its own overview says the tasting fees are paid at each estate, so the card says tastings are extra. The catamaran's lunch box is an option, not part of the fare.
• A wrong date. The regatta sail's listing still prints an old year's race programme; we give the regatta's own dates instead.
• “Small group” on a larger one. The shared van's own title says small group; it seats up to 13, so we describe it as a shared van. Where a listing gives a cap above 12, or none, we never call it a small group.
• “From Saint Tropez” on a boat that starts elsewhere. Where a boat berths at Marines de Cogolin or another harbour, the card names that harbour.
• Figures no official source settles. The gulf ferry's fares, the length of the long beach, the distance of the coastal path, garage parking rates, sunshine hours, a date for museum works, or a named wine estate or its tasting fee.
